No scraping on your enamel
Soft plaque and stains are removed with a jet of water, air and fine powder, not by scraping. The ultrasonic tip is used only where there is tartar.
Warm water, not cold
The device warms the water to the chosen temperature, ideal for sensitive teeth and for children.
Coffee, tea and tobacco stains
Removed in the same session. Your teeth return to their natural, clean and glossy colour (this is not whitening).

What GBT is and why it is different
GBT is a prophylaxis protocol developed by EMS (Switzerland), which we have been using for over a year in our Cotroceni treatment rooms. The order is the reverse of a classic cleaning: first we reveal and remove the biofilm (bacterial plaque), and only then the tartar, just where it is needed.

Frequently asked questions
Does it hurt?
Most patients describe it as comfortable. The water is warm and ultrasound is used only where needed. If your teeth are very sensitive, tell us and we will adjust the intensity.
How long does it take?
About an hour, depending on the amount of plaque and tartar. The first visit also includes the assessment.
How often should I come?
Usually every 6 months. If you have implants, braces or gum problems, we recommend a shorter interval, set at your consultation.
Will it whiten my teeth?
It removes surface stains and restores your natural colour, but it does not change the shade of your teeth. For that there is professional whitening, which we can do after the cleaning.
Is it safe for implants and veneers?
Yes. We use fine powders and dedicated tips for implants and restorations.
Are there cases where it is not recommended?
Rarely. Certain respiratory conditions or allergies may require adapting the protocol. Tell us your medical history when booking and the dentist will decide at the consultation.
